What is Coaching?

Coaching is a professional partnership designed to close the gap between where people are and where they want to be in their personal and professional lives.

 Its about getting focused, looking at things from fresh perspectives and getting into action. Having a coach is having a dedicated partner in your success.

What is a Certified Life Coach?

A Certified Life Coach is a coach that has been trained and judged effective by his/her peers through a rigorous process.   A Life Coach works with clients in all areas of their lives (as opposed to a career coach who will coach strictly on career or a relationship coach who focuses exclusively on relationship issues.)  A coach plays many roles in his/her work with clients.  A coach is:
bulletA mentor – someone who believes in you and helps you create a big vision with exciting and inspiring goals. 
bulletA manager – someone who assists you to form a manageable plan of action with accountability to move you toward your goals.   
bulletA personal trainer – someone who trains you to create a structure, keeps you on the path to your goal and has you stretch a little bit more each week to build your strength and expand your reach. 
bullet And a sports coach – someone who gives you feedback and insight that expands your thinking and improves your game.

How does coaching work?

In a typical one-on-one coaching arrangement, I work with my clients via the telephone. This allows us to stay focused on achieving the goals and working efficiently and effectively.

We start with a complimentary initial coaching session and create the primary goals that we will focus on in the coaching series. Next, I meet with my clients for three 1-hour coaching sessions per month. I ask my client for an initial four-month minimum commitment.

During these sessions we create the strategies to achieve the goals, work the actions to accomplish the strategies, and overcome the challenges and roadblocks on the path to achieving the goals.

During the coaching series, I also support my clients with spot-coaching via e-mail and short unscheduled calls. I am l00% committed to you accomplishing your goals.
